2nd April 2004 New Album : Press Release

A press release went out this week, giving a few details about the

new album which is due out in the autumn. Apparently,

the music will ‘reflect a refinement of Mudvayne's complexly

structured hard rock balanced against more melody than any

previous album’ , while the ideas and concepts behind the album

remain undisclosed.

2nd April 2004 Mudvayne mentioned on The Soprano’s!

There was a cool bit of news in the official mudvayne mailout this week- they

mudvayne show in Manhattan.  Read here to check out what the band had to say about infiltrating public consciousness…

the director, Dean Karr, and a making of the video documentary with

extended performance footage. At the moment there is no UK release

30th March 2003 UK Festival Date

Mudvayne will play the Download 2003 festival

at Donington on June 1st. This looks set to become a huge festival,

originally just metal bands, but it now incorporates the punk

Deconstruction festival, which is wrong for so many reasons and just

goes to show how music is becoming more and more a victim of

corporate whores. Anyway, Mudvayne will play the Kerrang! Stage along

with One Minute Silence, Spineshank and Raging Speedhorn.

The End of All Things To Come

A Key To Nothing

24th October 2002 Mudvayne cause mayhem in London.

In this weeks issue of Kerrang! Magazine, they ran a news story about a recent photo shoot Mudvayne

did in London, involving Kud’s rabbit costume and a lot of fake blood. Apparantly a cleaner found the

discarded blood-stained clothes in a shower at the studio and thought there had been a murder.

The police were about to be called when someone realised what had happened. There’s a

cool picture with the article, so it’s worth checking out.

20/05/2002  L.D.50 Re-Release

L.D.50 has been re-released in the UK. I wasn’t impressed when I

read ‘Kerrang!’ magazines review of the re-release though, they described it

as ‘a wholly unremarkable collection of screamy, nu-metal tedium that rarely

lives up to its rather lofty ideals’ and accused Mudvayne of being

‘nu-metal bandwagoners’, always complaining that we’re ‘not taking

them seriously, not listening to the music’.

But then this did come from a magazine who’s reviewer of L.D.50’s

original release described ‘Mutatis Mutandis’ as being a mediocre song.

I think the ignorance is quite clearly evident there.

4/11/01

Kill I Oughta is to be re-released on 20/11/01 under a new name ‘The Beginning of all Things to End’,

and will feature 3 bonus tracks.

Mudvayne explained the reason behind the new name:  “We've decided to do this to protect you our family from getting screwed by non-fans that are only out to make a buck off what we've all done together.  Also to protect your dollar and because we just wanted to, we're adding two remixes of Dig and the whole L.D.50 interlude in it's entirety and uninterrupted. After much thought we decided to change the name of the record to allow it to have its own personality, especially when we altered it by adding the remixes and a bonus track”

A live video/DVD will hit the shops on 11/12/01, and is a live show from Peoria.
